My great-uncle Tony was many things (boxer, teacher, patron), but foremost he was a beloved artist. Overflowing with creative passion, his life was his masterpiece and he threw himself into every detail.
Growing up, I was lucky to be surrounded by stories of his epic adventures.
Hi there! I’m Kimberly Sisti.
Wedding designer, floral artist, and the legacy of a family of incredibly inspiring individuals.
I believe a modern wedding is more than just an event. When you let me orchestrate your special day, I promise to allow you the ability to focus on yourself and what brought you two together for this magical moment. I provide elegant, elevated, and passionate wedding curation and design for the modern day bride.
The years he studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, Paris and Munich. The art gallery he opened in New York. The time he travelled to the Congo with Ernest Hemingway. The boxing match he arranged in Rome to finance his return home. The famed portraits he painted for President Franklin D. Roosevelt, New York Yankees manager Joe McCarthy, Benito Mussolini and Fiat Motor Company President Giovanni Agnelli.
The past blossomed in my young mind, moulding me into an eager vessel for art and storytelling.
Long before I was born, my father, Michael, fell in love with photography. As a teenager, he spent every spare second in Great-Uncle Tony’s studio and soon became a well-known photographer in my hometown of Buffalo.
To date, he has photographed over 2,300 weddings. That’s a lot of wedding cake … and even more romance.
You could say that I caught the “wedding bug” from my Dad. His studio was filled with the “old school”; massive volumes of invitation suites, and what seemed to me an endless variety of bridal albums and magazines of what was “en vogue” at that time.
The signs could be seen from the very beginning. At my eighth-grade graduation ceremony, I was named “the next Martha Stewart for Weddings”. As a teenager, I plastered every inch of my bedroom in pictures – but not of boy bands or movies...
In the days before Pinterest, you could have walked into my room and seen a living mood board with fledgling artistic concepts devoted to the atmosphere and details of weddings I adored. I took every floral and art class available to me as a high school student.
Growing up, my Saturdays were spent with my Grandma, Bernice. She was my heroine and responsible for teaching me everything about what it meant to be a lady and domestic goddess. She was the definition of grace, humor, grit, and love. To this day she is still responsible for igniting my internal flame.
… And then I went on to earn a B.A. in Classical Studies with a focus on Ancient Greek and Latin language. The plan, despite what destiny had in store for me, was to become a professor of Ancient History.
Then one day I realized I didn’t want to teach history. I wanted to share yours. As it’s being made.
Today, I channel my artistic legacy into full-service wedding coordination, event styling and floral design that makes your love story and special day unforgettable.
I believe it is my honor and duty to keep our family name in the art industry. And even if the exact art is different than my predecessors, it conveys the same feelings and principles:
Balance. Love, Grace. Originality.
Offering you an inimitable artistic experience etched from my heart to yours.
"I still don't know if I have the words to describe Kimberly Sisti and her creativity, charm, humor, professionalism, and dedication to making our wedding our dream day. From me changing my mind MANY times about little details to family members inserting their own opinions...Kim did not skip a beat and delivered the dreamiest setting I could have ever imagined. From our florals to our stunning and delicious cake, to every small yet beautiful detail in between, our guests were in awe...She's a pleasure to work with, an excellent communicator, and will truly become your friend by the end of this whirlwind process. We planned our wedding remotely from Chicago but knew we were in amazing hands since our first conversation with Kim. If there was a way to give her more stars than five, she'd get them all!
Kim is a gem! I could write to the word limit on Kim alone. She develops a great vision of YOUR vision, has amazing ideas to bring your vision to reality, and considers every detail to deliver your wedding the way you want it. By the wedding date, I truly felt Kim was more a family member than a wedding coordinator! I think Kim feels that way as way too. She’s not planning from the side… She’s IN it, living it, right there with you!
The veranda was beautifully arranged for the reception dinner. Every requested detail was perfectly captured; from the champagne table cloths with lace overlays, vintage place settings, and rustic floral arrangements to the warm chandelier lighting.
Kim made our cake as well. Elegant and delicious!
You will not be disappointed!
I'm the type of person who shamelessly reads other people's reviews but then never takes the time to write my own. Not this time. Kim, Cordiano's wedding event planner guru, took it to the next level for our wedding and I simply cannot thank her enough. (She) truly, truly loves what she does and you can feel that from her the second you meet her, and personal contacts with extremely talented, well regarded, and reasonably priced music, officiants, flowers, etc. You give Kim a theme or an idea, and she dedicates her time and her energy for your vision to come to life...but at the SAME time, she keeps you very well apprised of the budget and respects your parameters. I told her that I wanted simple (it was a small wedding); but simple did not mean plain and she just "got" me on my vision that I could not articulate myself. During the planning process (and we met multiple times, which she never seemed to mind and always seemed to have time for), she came to the table with a series of pictures and ideas for us to narrow down and streamline into a final vision. And after all of the talking was over, I find in my inbox emails that walk me through different ideas, picture by picture, from table decor to dramatic, draped entrances to the terrace. She's really that good at taking your vague ideas and creating a concrete plan. And I speak from experience because I am a planner myself. And even though I pride myself on my organizational skills, planning your wedding, no matter how small it is and how simple you THINK it is going to be, is stressful and time consuming for the bride...and Kim really knows how to take the pressure off.
She HANDMADE our wedding favors (miniature boxes with succulents inside), she negotiated with multiple vendors to arrange the best prices for vintage tea sets for the post-wedding brunch, a lovely vintage seating area on the terrace (complete with sofa, vintage clock, candle sticks, a trunk, etc. - you seriously have to see it to believe it), a beautifully decorated arch, a dramatic, billowy draped entrance way with lanterns...I'm just getting started here but the word limit is fast approaching. What really, really blew my mind was that I sent her a picture of a table setting on pinterest and she not only took that idea and re-created it, she improved upon it with her own touches-my photographer said that it was a joy to capture this wedding and its creativity). This doesn't even include the vegan wedding cake. She. baked. a. vegan. wedding. cake. ..AMAZING. I need a whole other chapter to discuss her skills at the evening party hosted off site-she made my friend's backyard into a wedding wonderland. In sum, it was perfection.
